Charles was admitted to practice in 1989 and after working as an Associate to a Judge of the Supreme Court of South Australia for 14 months, entered private practice in 1990.

In 1998 Charles joined Clelands. His fields of practice include commercial and civil litigation (including personal injury claims), commercial property leasing, preparing wills and dealing with deceased estates. He consults in Ceduna on a regular basis.

Charles is married with three children.
