Kate Bruce Associate

Kate was admitted to practice in July 2016 and joined Clelands Lawyers in December 2020.

Since her admission, Kate has practiced predominantly in the area of Family Law.

Kate commenced her career at a Community Legal Centre where she assisted clients from a diverse range of backgrounds, before obtaining employment as an Associate to Judge Kari in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.

Through her work as a Judge’s Associate, Kate was exposed to a broad range of matters and developed a thorough understanding of the judicial system. This experience has assisted Kate to advise clients in relation to the likely outcome of their matter and “what a Judge is likely to think” if their matter proceeds to Court.

Kate advises on the many aspects of Family Law including:

  • Matrimonial and de facto property settlement,
  • Parenting arrangements,
  • Divorce,
  • Spousal maintenance, and
  • Child support.

Kate is known for providing realistic and practical legal advice and supporting clients to navigate the often difficult and stressful separation process.
