Phil was admitted to practice in 1983 commencing practice with one of Adelaide’s leading commercial property lawyers.  From 1990 Phil practiced in a partnership and as a sole practitioner in the Adelaide Hills, an area he loves and where he lives.  He became a sought lawyer in the region for property leasing and commercial matters.  Being introduced to Liquor Licensing, Hotel transactions and Hospitality through a client in the 1990’s Phil very quickly became a leading practitioner in this field thanks to referrals from those he worked with.  Phil joined Clelands Lawyers Adelaide in January 2019.

Phil practices in the following areas:

  • Hospitality, Liquor Licensing and Gaming Law including licensing applications, transactions, leasing and financing for hotels and other licensed premises.
  • Property law including commercial leasing, commercial and residential transactions, financing, developments, land divisions and community titles.
  • General commercial law and advice including advising on and implementing operational structures and negotiation and preparation of contracts and other documentation.
  • Wills, succession planning, probate and administration of deceased estates.
