Malachy Carruthers
Malachy joined Clelands Lawyers as part of the reception team in 2025 and then transitioned into the role of Law Clerk later that year. Since joining the firm, he has become a dependable and proactive member of the team, recognised for his attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Malachy is in his final year of a double degree in Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Adelaide (now Adelaide University). His academic background supports his practical and commercially minded approach to legal work.
Working within the Family Law team, Malachy has developed particular expertise in managing disclosure, including the preparation, organisation and collation of complex documentation to support practitioners and clients. He is diligent, methodical and committed to contributing to efficient and effective case management.
Malachy is passionate about continuing to build his legal knowledge across multiple practice areas and is motivated to grow his skills within the firm, with a strong interest in developing his future legal career.

Outside of Clelands
Away from the office, Malachy enjoys staying active outdoors, playing football and basketball and heading away on camping and fishing trips. In his downtime, he enjoys watching sport and spending quality time with family and friends.
